He said Pakistan had spent about US500 million on infrastructure and capacity building projects in Afghanistan and also introduced a new visa regime to facilitate travelers.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in a telephonic conversation with FM Qureshi said that they have prioritized the provision of doses to Pakistan owing to their exemplary friendship.
Last week, Pakistan received another consignment of 500,000 doses of the Chinese state-owned company Sinopharm’s vaccine.
"The UNSG valued Pakistan’s constructive contributions towards the effective functioning of the Organisation in the different areas of its work, calling Pakistan a fundamental partner of the United Nations," the FO statement said.
Both the leaders agreed that the Afghan peace process must be taken forward through consultations and in a manner that helps establish peace, and prosperity in Afghanistan and the region.
