Amin said Prime Minister was committed to the challenge of initiating a green recovery through ecosystem restoration to protect nature and create much needed green employment.
On Thursday, Pakistan assured the international community that it would shift to 60% clean energy and 30% electric vehicle use by 2030.
Addressing the Leaders Summit in Washington, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam urged developed nations to fulfil their commitment to help others make this transition from carbon-based to clean energy.
The prime minister directed Aslam to represent Pakistan at the Global Climate Summit and highlight the various measures being taken by the Government of Pakistan to tackle the challenges of climate change.
The green activities are scheduled to be completed within 2021, which reflects a significant contribution towards shaping a clean and green Pakistan, he elaborated.
Amin expressed confidence that the Billion Tree Honey programme will help enhance the country's potential to produce 70,000 metric tonnes of honey in a year.
Amin said the project proposals were sought from all the federating units under Green Stimulus package and were received which would be implemented within next six months on ground.
He said Pakistan wanted to be a part or contributing for solution of the issue as UNEP considered the country as a host for World Environment Day 2021.
He added that Corals were naturally colorful species with mesmerizing structures that were actually the habitats of various marine life including jelly fish and other aquatic species.
The SAPM said waste water treatment plant would be operational soon, adding that the tourism sector was being promoted under the Prime Minister's vision.
