Provincial government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab made the announcement via tweet which states: "This is to inform that markets in #Sindh will remain open till 8 PM."
“Sindh reported 1402 new cases when 10585 tests were performed during 24 hours,” said Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah while giving daily briefing on the pandemic.
The prison and government departments were also directed to maintain the criminal records of all the prisoners while in case of negligence contempt proceedings will be initiated, said the court while hearing a petition on “fake prisoners” in Sindh jails.
The business leaders said that the country's economy, especially the small business sector, could not afford such measures, adding that in the reduced timing, the market would be in a rush, which would increase Coronavirus.
Giving the daily COVID-19 update, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said about 14,470 tests were conducted throughout the province in the past 24 hours out of which 1193 came positive for the virus.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar-led two member bench heard the petition, where applicant’s advocate stated before the court that the Sindh Government brought in a law exempting side mirrors on bikes.
As per the Sindh health department, the positivity rate of the COVID-19 is increasing from November 13 with the number of people being diagnosed with the global pandemic.
The Sindh Government spokesperson urged people to cooperate with the authorities in following coronavirus precautionary measures and said, “Cases are rapidly rising in winter and the COVID-19 positivity rate has jumped to 7.5pc.”

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said 14 people died due to the virus bringing the provincial death toll to 2,704. With 449 people recovering from the virus since yesterday, the total number of recovered patients stands at 141,446.
"It has been decided to remove the concerned officers from their current assignments for further departmental proceedings and disposal at [the Army's] General Headquarters (GHQ)," reads the statement.
The notification further emphasise of following the precautionary measures at workplaces, public places, and during travelling, especially when using public transportation.
The team had taken samples of 9,158 students and teachers of various government schools. About 216 came back positive, confirmed the district health office.
Sharing the data, the minister said that 9,784 samples were tested in 24 hours in the province, out of which 443 came positive. The total tally reaches 146,774 in the province.
Demanding the revocation of Presidential ordinance, the CM said that the province never signed any Objection Certificate (NOC) to the centre for taking over the island alongside Karachi coast.
