The NSE Nifty 50 index ended 0.44% higher at 15,924.20 and the S&P BSE Sensex rose 0.48% to 53,158.85. Both the indexes have gained more than 1% so far this week.
The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index closed down 0.1% at 15,818.25, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex ended 0.04% lower at 52,861.18 after touching an all-time high earlier in the day.
The Nifty Auto index which had risen 0.66% in the morning, ended 1.74% lower.
The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index closed 0.27% higher at 15,722.20 while the S&P BSE Sensex ended 0.32% higher at 52,484.67. They snapped a four-day losing streak.
The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index closed 0.54% lower at 15,686.95, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex fell 0.54% to end at 52,306.08.
The Nifty Bank Index fell 0.49%, posting its fifth session of losses in six. Private-sector lender ICICI Bank lost 1% and was among the top drags on the Nifty 50.
The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index fell 0.64% to 15,767.55 and the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.51% to 52,501.98 at close. Both the indexes ended at a record high on Tuesday.
The Nifty Metal Index fell the most among other sub-indexes, ending 2.85% lower, dragged by Tata Steel Ltd and JSW Steel Ltd, which fell 2.7% each.
The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index rose 0.65% to 15,737.75 and the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex climbed 0.69% to 52,300.47 at close. Both the indexes are set for a fourth straight weekly gain.
In Mumbai trading, Bajaj Finance Ltd, State Bank of India and HDFC Ltd were among the top boosts to the Nifty 50, gaining between 0.7% and 7.3%.
The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index closed 0.67% lower at 15,635.35 after earlier hitting an all-time high, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex fell 0.64% to 51,941.64.
The Nifty Bank index slipped 0.8% to its lowest in nearly two weeks.
