Russia, one of the world's largest wheat exporters, is trying to stabilise domestic food prices with the wheat export levy as well as a grain export quota and a series of other measures after President Vladimir Putin criticised the impact of excessive inflation.
“I have received the regional export trends and this shows that, compared to our exports, the exports of India and Bangladesh for Nov/Dec 2020 showed negative growth,” said PM Khan.
The total imports from China during July-November (2020-21) were recorded at $4523.671 million against the $4025.183 million during July-November (2019-20).
The Ambassador said, "We have ignored South American market from last five decades while other countries, particularly India, have strong presence there".
IKAR added that wheat for supply in February was quoted at $260 per tonne. IKAR also downgraded its forecast for Russia's 2020/21 wheat exports earlier on Monday.
Seoul city is considering going further than the national rules to ban gatherings of more than five people, starting the day before the Christmas holiday, Yonhap news agency reported.
