ISLAMABAD: A total of 6,529 Covid-19 patients have recovered so far in the federal capital, taking the recovery rate in the city to 54 percent, official data revealed on Saturday.

According to official data, out of total 12,206 reported confirmed cases, 6,529 have completely recovered, and 120 have lost their lives in the fight against the coronavirus.

The improvement in the Covid-19 recovery rate is indicative of the fact that more than half of the positive cases have recovered from the disease, said a senior official of the district health department.

The data says that the total number of recovered patients on June 27 were 6,529, on June 26, 5,839, on June 25, 5,424, on June 24, 5,012, on June 23, 5,012, on June 22, 4,681, June 21, 4,380, on June 20, 2,770, on June 19, 2,770, on June 18, 2,439, June 17, 2,439, on June 16, 2,037, and on June 15, 2,037.

The number of reported cases of coronavirus in the capital on June 26 were 11,981, on 25 were 11,710, on 24 were 11,483 , on June 23 were 11,219, on June 22 there were 10,932 cases, on June 21, 10,662, on June 20, 10,279, on June 19, 9,941, on June 18, 9,637, on June 17, 9,242, and on June 16 total cases were 8,857.
