Allardice said ICC's aim to add more context to the five-day game has been a success after two years of Test series to determine the world's top two teams.
The Al Jazeera programme "Cricket's Match Fixers", broadcast on May 27, 2018, alleged incidents of spot-fixing in a Chennai match between England and India in December 2016 and the Australia-India test in Ranchi in March 2017.
"This combined with the absence of any other credible evidence means there are insufficient grounds to bring charges under the ICC Anti-Corruption Code."
The 47-year-old admitted five breaches of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) anti-corruption code and agreed the sanction, the ICC said in a statement.
"As a former captain and coach, he held a position of trust and owed a duty to uphold the integrity of the game," Alex Marshall, ICC General Manager of Integrity Unit, said in the statement.
