COLOMBO: Pakistan defeated South Africa by two wickets in a group two Super Eights match of the World Twenty20 here on Friday.
Pakistan restricted the Proteas to 133-6 and then surpassed the target with two balls to spare to make a winning start in the second round.
India and Australia, the other two teams in the group, play in the second match of the double-header at the Premadasa stadium later on Friday night.
