Laura-TrottLONDON: Britain's Laura Trott capped a gruelling women's omnium campaign to be crowned Olympic champion in the inaugural event at the velodrome Tuesday.

Trott finished just one point ahead of American Sarah Hammer, who took the silver, with Australian Annette Edmondson taking the bronze.
