Spanish giant Real Madrid have been left unhappy over Cristiano Ronaldo's silence and want to finalise his long-term future with the club.

The 32-year-old dominated the headlines once again during the summer after reports stated he wants to leave the Bernabeu.

The Portuguese captain was accused of tax evasion by the authorities in Spain last month and A Bola newspaper reported that he wanted to quit the Champions League winners and his decision was "irreversible".

Ronaldo has been away with Portugal at the Confederations Cup since the revelations emerged, but has refused to answer any questions about his long-term future.

He was named man of the match in three of Portugal's games but was unable to help them reach the final after they were beaten by Chile on penalties in the semi-finals.

The record breaking forward was allowed to miss the third and fourth place play-off game against Mexico on Sunday as he travelled back to the Spanish capital to be with his new-born baby twins.

But reports suggest Madrid have not heard anything from their star forward and there has still been no public comment from the 32-year-old on his future.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez recently stated that he wants Ronaldo to stay at Real Madrid for the rest of his life and is a major part of the club.
