A pleasing moment for Manchester United fans, as Red Devils’ outspoken striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped up his recovery from injury.

The 35-year-old ruptured the cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Europa League quarter-final win over Anderlecht in April.

And after undergoing an operation earlier this month, the Swedish legend has kicked a ball for first time since suffering the horrific injury.

The veteran striker landed awkwardly and jarred his knee at the end of normal time in that Old Trafford clash.

The layoff for such an injury is between six and nine months and could see him miss the rest of 2017.

Those fears could be eased by the footage super Zaltan has shared on his Instagram page, as he kicked a ball with both feet for the first time in six weeks.

In the post he declared: 'The touch will never disappear. Lions don't recover like humans.'

The striker, signed on a free transfer from PSG last summer, scored 28 goals in 46 appearances in his debut season.
