imageKARACHI: The National Assembly's Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat discussed the performance of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The meeting chaired by Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan at the PIA headquarters here on Wednesday called for improving the performance of national airliner and for offering various incentives to passengers, said a press release.

The committee members suggested to the PIA to resume flights from Moen-jo-Daro and other small cities to facilitate people.

Minister In-charge for Cabinet Secretariat and Chairman (PIA) Sheikh Aftab Ahmed apprised the committee of PIA's efforts to improve its performance and the problems faced by the airline. He sought the committee's support in resolving issues.

MNAs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary, Malik Ibrar Ahmed, Syed Javed Ali Shah, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Parvaan Masood Bhatti, Shahnaz Saleem, Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, Moulvi Agha Muhammad, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, Muhammad Rehan Hashmi, Ayaz Soomro, Ramesh Lal and Nazir Ahmad Bughio attended the meeting.
