SUKKUR: Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA), Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah here on Saturday said that no government could achieve its goals without considering the education as its top priority.
It should utilize all available resources to increase the literacy rate in the country.
Addressing a function on education reforms he said only those nations had achieved economic progress, which realized the importance of education.
He said that the best investment of any nation was to focus more on education and make every one educated in the present era of science and technology.
He said that the incidents of extremism and terrorism in the country were also a main reason to lack of education.
"We can defeat the extremist elements only if we educate youth. Our youth are very talented and have proved themselves all over the world wherever they get chances," he added.
Khursheed Shah also urged stakeholders to work together for improving the literacy rate in the country
He said that almost all of the developed countries have achieved progress and prosperity due to better educational systems.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur Shehzad Tahir Thaheem, Director Education Sukkur Zaib-u-Nisa Mangi and others also spoke on the occasion.
