imageKARACHI: Two ships C.V Deira and M.T Atlantic Glory carrying containers and chemical were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Wednesday.

Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers wheat and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was at the port remained 57% where eight ships namely C.V Deira, C.V Safmarine Ngami, C.V Alliance Norfolk, M.V Georgiana Bo, M.V Ince Ilgz, M.V Industrial Sailor, M.T Atlantic Glory and M.V DL Dahlia were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, rape seed, general cargo, chemicals and coal respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 85661 tonnes comprising 47152 tonnes imports and 38509 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2775 containers (TEUs) (1226 imports and 1,549 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Four ships C.V Deira, C.V Safmarine Ngami, M.V Ince Ilgaz and M.V Industrial Sailor sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while another ship M.V Georgiana Bo is expected to sail on same day.

Five Ships C.V CMA CGM Struas, C.V Maersk Hart ford, M.T Al Soor- II and palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO, FAP and LCT respectively on Wednesday, while two more ship C.V Spirit of Mumbai and C.V New Dehli Express are due to are at Port Qasim on Thursday.
