imageKARACHI: A driver of a PIA van at the Karachi Airport set an example of honesty when he found the wallet of a passenger and instead of keeping it, handed it over to the staff of the Airlines.

The passenger who happened to be the senior police official upon boarding the PIA flight PK 540 (Karachi to Sukkur) on Sunday morning, realised that his wallet was missing.

He intimated the cabin crew who informed the pilot who disseminated a message to the ground staff.

In the meantime, the driver of the PIA van who had noticed the presence of a wallet in the vehicle handed it over to the Airline's ground staff at Karachi Airport.

Usman Ghani, SSP Mirpurkhas said that he was happy that because of the honesty of the PIA van driver he got back his wallet which contained some 25,000 rupees in cash also.

It is worth mentioning that Usman Ghani had not informed the PIA cabin crew that he was a senior police official and had passed on the information just as a passenger.

Meanwhile, the PIA management has also appreciated the concerned staff of the Airlines.
