Areeba murder: court extends remand of accused

LAHORE: A Local court Wednesday extended physical remand of three accused involved in Model Areeba murder case for another three-days.

Earlier, Sherakot police produced the accused including Uzma Rao alias Tooba, Farooq and Zeshan before Judicial Magistrate Rashid Ali.

The police requested the court to extend the physical remand of the accused for another eight days to recover mobile and other items. However, the accused's counsel opposed the request.

But, the court extended the remand for another three days and directed to produce the accused again on March 7.

Areeba's body was found in a suitcase at a bus station in Johar Town area here on January 13. The rookie model, who has been identified by her real name Abeera Iqbal, was a student at Punjab University and lived in a hostel.
