imageISLAMABAD: Hamdard University and Ihsan Trust (IT) of Meezan Bank have signed an MoU for providing Qarz-e-Hasna (Interest Free Loan) to the students of Hamdard University (HU), purely on need-cum-merit basis.

The purpose of this MoU is to strengthen each other's capacity and playing their role in providing education to those communities and individuals who have been admitted to Hamdard University on merit and they are unable to afford the tuition fees.

This agreement will benefit the bright students of Hamdard University facing financial difficulties and will enable them to carry out their studies uninterrupted.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Hk. Abdul Hannan, Vice Chancellor HU, the MoU was signed by the Registrar HU, Syed Nasir Ali Mirza and Fayyaz ur Rehman Khan, Vice President / CSR & Special Projects Product Development & Shariah Compliance (PDSC), Ihsan Trust (IT) of Meezan Bank.

In addition, Hamdard University is also regularly providing scholarships to its students on the basis of merit-cum-need and hardship. Last year, it has disbursed an amount of Rs. 60 million to its promising and academically sound students.

Registrar, Hamdard University and Vice President Ihsan Trust (IT) of Meezan Bank signed another MoU for providing Qarz-e-Hasna (interest free loan) facility to the meritorious and needy students.

Prof. Dr. Hakim Abdul Hannan, Vice Chancellor, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, Controller of Examination and Saad Bin Hilal, Deputy Director Finance, Hamdard University were also present in the ceremony.
