imageThe King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan has revealed that he follows the ‘Quran’ for his charitable acts. Khan was raised in a Muslim family and still considers himself one, though he married a Hindu woman and teaches his children tenets of both religions.

According to media reports Shahrukh Khan said, “I follow Quran which says if you do charity for a reason it’s not a charity. I’m not religious in terms of reading (namaz) prayer five times but I am Islamic. I believe in the tenets of Islam and I believe that it’s a good religion and a good discipline”.

SRK has been an active part of a NGO for children called ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ from many years, he arranges long hour meeting at his home for the kids of this foundation. He also try to contribute as much as he can to provide them assistance and support. While hosting ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ SRK also urged his other fellow stars to donate big prize money for the social causes.

Shahrukh Khan became the first Indian to be honoured with a special award for his charitable acts at the 20th ‘UNESCO’ awards 2011 in Germany but he isn’t very vocal about his charitable work.
