imageReham Khan, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has been dealing with a scandal caused by a British newspaper article which questions the authenticity of her degree.

According to local media reports, Reham’s personal website states that she became a reporter on the BBC regional show South Today after graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism at North Lindsay College. However, according to officials at North Lindsey, the university has never offered such a course.

“Reham Khan has not been truthful about her qualification,” said the British newspaper that first disclosed the news of her marriage with the PTI chief. Further, the college reportedly denied enrolling any student by the name ‘Reham Khan’, local media reported.

The former BBC journalist Reham Khan took to Twitter, claiming, “This morning is a great example of why I have never picked up the Daily Mail and why I don’t watch Pakistani TV channels. As per reports, the PTI chairman’s wife further said, “A few people have an agenda and media is promoting their senseless propaganda”.

The PTI chief’s new wife is currently employed as an anchor for a private television channel in Pakistan.
