On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan appointed Dr. Moeed Yusuf as the National Security Adviser, elevating him from his original role as the Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security and Strategic Policy Planning.
Yusuf was originally granted the status of a Minister of State in December 2019, and was made the Chairman of the Strategic Policy Planning Cell under the National Security Division.
In a recent interview, Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security and Strategic Policy Planning, stated that the government's primary goal is to ensure that there is peace in the region.
Yusuf articulated that "Prime Minister's number one goal for the region is peace with everybody", adding that Pakistan's goal of attaining economic security is not possible without peace in the region.
Biden will also create new commissions and positions within the government focused on environmental justice and environmentally friendly job creation, including one to help displaced coal communities, the newspaper said.
