Downing Street said Johnson "outlined his intention to host a virtual meeting... in the coming days", during a call to French President Emmanuel Macron when he stressed the need for a "unified approach" to the situation.
The coronavirus first emerged in central China in late 2019, and the World Health Organization sent a team of international experts in January to probe its origins.
"This is not within the competence of the EMA so I can only speak from a personal perspective, where I really believe we need to ensure access, availability and access throughout the world, not just in the countries that have the means to pay for them," EMA Executive Director Emer Cooke said in an interview.
He said in a statement accompanying the report that delivering cleaner emissions constituted "a massive investment opportunity" that would provide job opportunities.
