imageISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has urged the newly elected representatives of local government to serve people with dedication and resolve their problems on priority.

Addressing a ceremony arranged by nominated PML-N deputy mayors of Islamabad, the minister congratulated all elected representatives.

"All of you are standing at present on victory stand of success and your further destiny should be victory stand of welfare and service to people," he maintained.

The minister said that elected representatives would have to serve the people during their tenure so that their constituents may vote them in next elections on the basis of their performance.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr. Asif Kirmani, Minister for Capital Administration Development Division (CADD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, PML-N nominee for slot of mayor Ansar Aziz Sheikh, deputy mayors' nominees Ch. Rifat Javed, Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, Azam Khan, MNA Malik Ibrar, elected representatives of Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) were also present on the occasion.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr. Asif Kirmani said that IMC's representatives would have to focus on resolving problems of people following the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He congratulated all the elected representatives for having representation in the first ever local government in the Capital. He urged them to make Islamabad beautiful city as per desire of Prime Minister and hoped for their better performance in future.

State Minister for CADD Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that elected Chairmen had a successful meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif which boosted their spirit to work for welfare of people.
