imageISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on December 22,on a plea seeking his disqualification as Member National Assembly under article 62, 63 of the Constitution.

The ECP's bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza Khan resumed hearing of a plea filed by Mansoor-ul-Aziz and directed the Imran Khan to appear and explain his position to the commission in this regard.

The petitioner's counsel appeared before the commission and apprised that Imran had levelled falls allegations on the Judiciary and Election Commission.

He argued that a liar cannot be member of the Parliament under article 62, 63 of the constitution and prayed for his disqualification from National Assembly.
