imageLAHORE: Kuwaiti investors' delegation here Tuesday called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and expressed keen interest in investment in energy, food security and other sectors.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister said, Pakistan was facing severe energy crisis that had badly affected education, health, agriculture as well as other sectors, adding, the PML-N government made sincere and unprecedented efforts overcome energy shortage.

He said, facilities were being provided to investors in energy sector on priority basis and a highly conducive atmosphere had also been created for investment in the province. The policy of maintaining transparency and standard, besides speedy implementation of development projects was being strictly implemented, he added.

Kuwaiti investors expressed their desire to make investment in energy, food security and other sectors in Pakistan especially Punjab.

Chairman Planning and Development, Secretaries of Finance and Energy departments, Chairman Punjab Power Development Company and officers concerned attended the meeting.
