KARACHI: Soon after dealing with the ban upon the release of its trailers in Pakistan, the Salman Khan starrer “Ek Tha Tiger” has now landed in a fresh legal trouble.

It is reported that a legal notice has been sent to the production company and CBFC demanding a special screening before the film is released, alleging that it has striking resemblance with the real-life story of a late RAW agent Ravindra Kaushik.

Vikram Vashistha, the nephew of the late Ravindra Kaushik and his family, have sought legal assistance and sent a special notice to the filmmakers.

“He (Ravindra Kaushik) was my maternal uncle who was with the Research Analysis Wing (RAW). Born on April 11, 1952 in Sri Ganganagar he also did his graduation from there. He displayed his talent at national level dramatic meet in Lucknow, which was also witnessed by some officials of the intelligence wing (RAW). He was contacted and offered job for the secret intelligence in Pakistan. Later he was sent to Pakistan for the purpose,” said Vashishtha in an interview with a leading daily publication.

His counsel has claimed in the notice that the "Prima facie resemblance is on the account that the promos show that ISI (Pakistan’s leading services agency) and RAW (India’s leading services agency) indulged in day-to-day war."

"The promos reveal that the agent named 'Tiger' worked in Pakistan and had an affair with a Pakistani girl. He fought for the country as well as for his love. Shashi Vashistha, mother of my client Vikram is the Ravindra's only sister," Madhav Mitra, Vashistha's Attorney explained.

The film "Ek Tha Tiger" is a spy-thriller in which Salman Khan is playing the character of a RAW secret agent.

The promos and posters have already created quite a stir in both Pakistan and India. The film is set to release on August 15th
