Traffic accidents claim 71 lives in Punjab during Eid holidays

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) provided emergency care to as many as 19,285 people across the province during Eid holidays while responding to 7,065 emergencies of road traffic crashes in which 71 precious lives were lost.

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) provided emergency care to as many as 19,285 people across the province during Eid holidays while responding to 7,065 emergencies of road traffic crashes in which 71 precious lives were lost.
The Emergency Ambulance, Rescue and Fire Services responded to 7065 emergencies of road traffic crashes, 8892 medical emergencies, 712 crime incidents, 509 fire incidents, 71 drowning and 1479 other emergencies such as delivery cases, fall from a height, electric shock and occupational injuries.
DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer in a meeting expressed his serious concern over the loss of precious human lives in both emergencies of road traffic crashes and drowning emergencies during Eid days.
He said that at least 7065 people were gravely injured in road traffic crashes in these days due to reckless driving after the relaxation of lockdown, who were shifted to various hospitals across Punjab in which 71 people died. The meeting was also informed that a higher number of emergencies occurred in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal on Eid days.
