Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat futures rose on Tuesday as traders adjusted positions on the last day of the year, making gains of 11% for 2019.

Worries about unfavorable crop weather tightening supplies in rival exporters like Russia, Ukraine and Australia have helped support prices, analysts said.

Expectations for increased Chinese demand for US wheat also lifted the market, traders said.
