Nestlé Pakistan crossed the 100 billion mark in 2015, boosting its overall earnings by 10.5 percent for year ended on December 31, 2015. Despite prevalent socio-political situation of the country and the energy crisis, Nestlé Pakistan has witnessed an overall increase in its total revenue by almost Rs 6.5 billion.
Additionally, its earnings per share have increased from Rs 174.85 per share in to Rs 193.18 per share in 2015. In the area of Sales, Nestlé Pakistan's revenue stood at Rs 102.98 billion, 6.77 percent higher compared to last year. Export sales during the same period stood at Rs 5.7 billion. The gross profit margin increased by 480 bps compared to last year mainly due to extended cool weather positively impacting milk flush and relatively stable fresh milk prices. Further, the prices of dairy related commodities in international market combined with strong Pak Rupee have positively impacted in input cost.
Nestlé Pakistan's operating profit increased to Rs 16.3 billion translating into 15.6 percent growth versus the same period last year. This was achieved as a result of effective cost management.
