National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday arrested accused Salauddin, Director of Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar. He is allegedly involved in accumulating assets beyond known sources of income worth millions of rupees.
The matter was brought into the notice of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which while taking cognisance of the matter inquiry was authorised to ascertain the real facts and collect requisite evidence regarding moveable and immovable properties owned, controlled and possessed by the accused in his own name and in the name of his dependants.
During inquiry it was revealed that the accused during his service in Provincial Housing Authority KP Peshawar has accumulated huge assets disproportionate to his known legal sources.
The assets included three plots each one Kanal at Regi Model Town, Peshawar, 16 Marla plot at MPCH Islamabad, one Kanal plot at Phase-II Hayatabad Peshawar, double story banglow at Phase-7 Hayatabad Peshawar, 8 Marla plot in Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad, one Corolla car (Model 2004), one Corolla car (Model 2012) and a luxury banglow at Phase -2 Hayatabad, Peshawar.
Additionally, the accused made huge unexplained transactions in the bank accounts.
NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa actively pursuing the case and more properties are expected to be unearthed. The accused will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining his physical remand into NAB custody.
