Indian intelligence agency The Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has tasked its operatives with a plan to spread chaos in Pakistan though carrying out assassination of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, revealed a letter sent to police and other law enforcement agencies by Punjab Home Department. According to it, RAW officials intend to portray the assassinations as an act of vengeance undertaken by extremist groups like banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in retaliation to Islamabad's ongoing campaign against militants.
The security alert sent through the letter on October 9 further said a conspiracy has been hatched to create anarchy in Pakistan as result of major acts of violence like assassination of prime minister of the country and Jamat ud Dawa Amir Hafiz Muhammad Saeed. The provincial home department has directed police, Counter Terrorism Department and other security institutions to adopt all possible precautions besides exercising extra vigilance and heightened security measures.
Musaddiq Malik, a spokesman for the Prime Minister's House, said investigations have been launched into the plan aimed at the assassination of prime minister, vowing that the elements behind the conspiracy will soon be arrested. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has condemned the Indian conspiracy, accusing New Delhi of fomenting terrorism in Balochistan. Meanwhile, a Kalat resident, Deepak Kumar, who worked as Indian spy has made startling revelations including his visit to New Delhi in 2014 and being convinced by Indian army officers to spy for them.
According to details, the detained Indian spy has confessed that he used to work for India and went to Yatra in 2014 where two Indian army officers met him at the visa office and offered visa extension in exchange for spying for them. He said he was paid Rs 50,000 while his brother residing in India was paid Rs 450,000.
