The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the schedule for the second phase of Local Bodies Election in Sindh and polling will be held on November, 19, 2015.
According to the notification issued here on Thursday, the schedule of 2nd Phase of Election to fill the category of seats of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Union Council & Union Committees and General Member in each Union Council, Union Committee and Ward in the Local Governments in the districts Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Nausheroferoze, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar of Sindh Province.
According to schedule, public notice to be issued by the Returning Officer on September 9, 2015, filing of nomination papers with the Returning Offices by the candidates from September 13 to 17; nomination papers will be scrutinized by the Returning Officers from 26th September to 1st October; last date for filing of appeals against the decisions of the Returning Officers of accepting / rejecting the nomination papers will be October 6; October 12 is the last date for deciding appeals by the tribunals; last date of withdrawal of candidature fixed on October 13; revised list of candidates will be publicised on October 14 and November 19, 2015 has been declared the polling day.
