JUI(F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has accused the PTI of breaking all the records of vote rigging and said his party would not accept the results. Strongly reacting to the local bodies election results here on Sunday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said every citizen of the country is a witness to excesses committed by PTI workers with the connivance of KP police. He said the PTI workers raided polling stations and took away the ballot boxes.
He said the `partisanship' shown by the police during elections was enough to expose the real face of PTI. He held PTI responsible for violence during LG elections. He also complained that police misbehaved with women at several polling stations.
Meanwhile, President of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali has alleged massive rigging in local bodies elections by Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf and said they would not accept results.
ANP leader said that a basis has been laid by PTI for rigging in election and added that even a coalition partner of the provincial government has admitted vote rigging. He said after these allegations, there is no legal and constitutional basis for the local government elections. He said it is surprising that if rigging takes place in Punjab, the caretaker government and a political party are held responsible but when it happens in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, the entire blame is put on the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Asfandyar Wali said the ANP would decide the next course of action after consultations.
