Reorganisation of Hilal-e-Ahmar (Red Crescent) Maternity Hospital (HAMH) on modern scientific lines by removing its administrative discrepancies and delinquencies within a shortest period of only six months is an encouraging step and its credit goes to DCO Noor-Ul-Amin, said Engineer Suhail Bin Rashid President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).
He was addressing a meeting after visiting HAMH along with former presidents and executive committee of the FCCI. "We were really surprised to see that such marvellous facilities at amazingly low rates are being provided to the needy segments of the society in the heart of Faisalabad city," he said and requested Hafiz Dr Mukhtar Ahmed Randhawa Medical Superintendent HAMH to visit FCCI and give a formal presentation to the entire business community so that it could also contribute humbly towards this noble cause.
Suhail Bin Rashid said FCCI will extend its optimal help and support to further enhance and upgrade the delivery and quality of medical facilities to the target group on permanent and sustained manner. Regarding occupation of the doctors' residences by Ali Zeb Foundation (AZF), he said no doubt AZF is doing a noble job but to occupy for the purpose already built building of another social welfare organisation is against the spirit of justice and fair play. He assured to resolve this issue at the FCCI level and said doctors working in HAMH need in-house residences to ensure their availability round the clock. "It was also a pre-condition by the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CP&S) to start post-graduation classes in this state-of-the-art Hospital.
Earlier, Hafiz Dr Mukhtar Ahmed Randhawa said HAMH is the only gynaecology hospital in Pakistan with 90% female staff. It has four highly qualified and experienced gynaecologists. Senior Gynaecologist Dr Tehseen Javed is conducting daily 11-15 operations. She remains available daily from 8am to 8pm. "We could make her availability round the clock if she is provided with in-house accommodation," said MS, adding that this hospital also have two pharmacists to set the dosage of the patients.
He disclosed the CP&S has agreed in principle to start post-graduation classes provided accommodation is made available to the faculty as well as to the students. He also briefed the FCCI delegation about the performance of various departments and said a new and unique model of Drug Bank has been introduced to provide 100 percent free medicines to the needy patients. He also thanked Haji Muhammad Ramzan of FCCI for providing Incubators and said he is very generous and is always ready to help the needy patients.
Dr Mukhtar Randhawa said this Hospital is not getting a single penny from the government but is catering to the Gynaecological and neonatal needs of the city with the financial help and support of the local philanthropists.
Earlier the FCCI delegation visited various departments and wards of the HAMH and enquired about the performance of different sections. The FCCI delegation was comprised of Riaz-ul-Haz senior vice president, Chaudhary Muhammad Asghar vice president, Muzamal Sultan former president, Chaudhary Talat Mehmood, Dr Habib Aslam Gaba, Shakeel Ahmed Ansari, Rana Ikam Ullah Khan and Faizer Nawaz Faizi.
