The rumours to plant bomb in a high-profile private school of Peoples Colony created panic here on Thursday and the scared parents rushed to surrounding schools of the vicinity in harassed condition to bring back their children from these schools. On receiving call about planting of a bomb in the school, the bomb disposal squad rushed to the place and after thorough search of the school cleared it safe.
The administration of this school announced three-day holiday as precautionary measures after receiving suicidal threats. However, the students in adjoining schools continued their studies for the whole day and were allowed to proceed to their homes after 2:30 pm. On receiving information of planting a bomb in the school, the local police and security agencies cordoned the area and suspended the vehicular traffic for few hours.
It is reported that the Faisalabad administration had yesterday received an information that a suspicious vehicle, bearing registration number LXV-400 had entered into Faisalabad carrying four terrorists who were wearing suicidal jackets and possess heavy explosive material.
On this report, the CPO Faisalabad, Ahmed Mubarik had detailed heavy police contingents at all vital entry points of the city and they thoroughly searched all the vehicles coming to and from Faisalabad. Over 3,000 policemen equipped with latest weapons and wireless sets were deputed for this purpose. Moreover, the police minutely checked all the hotels, guesthouses and public places to foil any suicidal attempt.
The mobile police force is still performing the patrolling duty and checking the suspects. The security cameras installed by City-Police Liaison Committee at a number of vital points including Clock Tower, all main bazaars of the city and D. Ground, Peoples Colony, are fully operative while the CPLC is planning to install these surveillance cameras at all points leading to Faisalabad City for constant checking of the suspects.
