The IGP NWFP, Muhammad Raffat Pasha awarded police officers and Jawans with cash prizes and commendation certificates who were involved in Achani Khwer encounter in the jurisdiction of Pishtara Khera police station where three dacoits were killed the other day. The ceremony took place at CPO Peshawar on Wednesday. It may be mentioned here that for the last few days incidents of dacoity and robbery had risen and the culprits used to be wrapped in police uniform.
The police on the directives of IGP tightened their network and sooner, on a tip off they cordoned the accused in Achani Khwer. An encounter took place in which three dacoits were killed. The police also recovered police uniforms, belts and badges from their possession.
The IGP Muhammad Raffat Pasha addressing on the occasion highly appreciated the well-planned strategy and excellent performance of police in this particular case by saying that criminals were always adopting different tactics and techniques to dodge the police.
He cautioned police to be aware of such tactics of criminals and directed them to further improve their intelligence network and information system and foil the sinister designs of the out laws well in time.
He said that in-time unearthing of the gang would provide succour and relief to the general public and would effectively put halt to occurrence of such incidents in future. He hoped that police would continue its success against such die-hard criminals and will bring to book the culprits involved in such heinous crime.
The IGP also commended the courageous act and out standing performance of ASP Rural Abdul Jabbar who played an important role in eradication of poppy crops in self-defacto, Shabqadar tribal areas and also arrested five armed dacoits in the jurisdiction of Daudzai police station. He was awarded cash prize of Rs five thousands and letter of appreciation.
In pishtakhera police encounter the police officers and jawans who were awarded Rs five thousands each, letter of appreciation and commendation certificates include ASP Hayat Abad Waqas Nazir, SHO Hayat Abad Usman Lala, SHO Pishtakhera Muhammad Sher and head constable Noor Muhammad. Chief Capital City police Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman, SSP Peshawar Muhammad Saeed Wazir and SSP investigation Farrukh Bader were also present on this occasion.
