Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat has said it is wrong to say that innocent people have been killed in the fresh operation in Wana.
Talking to BBC he said, "in light of reports we have received so far all those killed were miscreants.
Replying to a question, he said Pak-Afghan border is porous, there are points on the border where elements can sneak into either side of the border. On both sides, the forces have to provide security cover to seal these entry points, he added
He further said: "The operation will be kept on as long as terrorist elements there are not apprehended."
"Initially, 100 to 150 people are on the wanted list," the minister said, adding, "some of them have been apprehended, while for the remaining, operation is under way."
To another question, he said, "the tribal Lashkar is to perform its own work assigned to it and it has a particular importance".
