National Assembly Speaker Amir Hussain has said that record development projects have been completed under new local government system throughout the country.
Addressing a big public meeting after inaugurating Sui gas supply in adjoining village Butter on Friday night he said that the new local government is playing instrumental role in resolving the problems faced by the masses.
The Speaker observed that new local bodies system has helped in resolving the long-standing problems.
He said that the role of district government was highly laudable Chaudhry Amir said that the local government would be strengthened in the larger interest of common man.
The government has concentrated its efforts on developing far-off and hitherto ignored areas.
The Speaker said that facilities like education, health, potable water, sewerage, electricity, telephone and communication are being provided on priority basis in neglected areas.
