altaf-hussainKARACHI: The "political drone" strike promised by Muttahida Qoumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain is expected at 5.00pm today, the media reported on Thursday.

Altaf Hussain's announcement has come at a time when pressure is mounting on all political parties with Tahirul Qadri’s Long March just round the corner.

The MQM chief will address party members via a telephone at Lal Qila ground, Karachi, a press release of the party's Raabta Committee stated.

Party members and workers have been urged to prepare themselves for the political drone strike and its after effects.

What the drone attack will bring is anybody's guess. It could be that the party may part ways with the government, the MQM chief could return to the country for contempt of court case against him, which was dismissed after his representatives tendered an apology, or they may stay away from assemblies.

MQM leaders have been asked to not divulge what Altaf Hussain's political drone might be as they do not want to lose the element of surprise.

However, Altaf Hussain claimed that no one would be able to respond to the political drone attack.
