American Consul General in Lahore Zachary Harkenrider on Friday met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab organiser Chaudhary Sarwar at his home and talked about Pakistan's relations with America and India and the war on terror. Punjab Deputy Organiser Umar Cheema was also present. A party media cell spokesperson said the organiser briefed the diplomat about the Indian violations on the Working Boundary, saying because of the indiscriminate firing by the Indian forces on the working boundary many Pakistanis had lost their lives.
He said Pakistani security forces had sacrificed their lives in the war of terror and urged the world community to support Pakistan in the ongoing war on terror. He also urged the American influence. The diplomat said his country had always supported Pakistan in its war on terror and in other projects that could lead Pakistan towards its development and prosperity. He also said US also respected Pakistan sacrifices against war against terrorism. He said peace and prosperity would only be established only after eliminating terrorism from the region.
