Member of Co-ordination Committee Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi has said that MQM will organise peaceful public protests against the artificial scarcity of water in Sindh especially in Karachi from Friday (today) to bring the attentions of the provincial government. MQM leader said that MQM was going to begin a stream of public protests regarding water crisis all over Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah and other cities.
Haider Abbas said that the aim of the protests rallies would be to bring the attention of the provincial government to remove the artificial scarcity of water in Sindh, especially in Karachi. He said that the MQM was a political force and raised the water crisis previously too but it seemed that the situation was more pathetic. He said that MQM kept struggling to provide sufficient water to the Karachiites for the last eight years because people had to suffer without their life essentials. He said that Karachi needed 1000 million gallons but only 400 MGs were provided in the city and the distribution of water also created chaos.
