NICOSIA: Cyprus said on Wednesday it had sold 750 mln euros in 5-year bonds at an average yield of 4.85 pct, following a three-year hiatus from international markets and an international bailout.
The finance ministry said the bonds, priced at 99,565 euros, attracted investors mainly from Britain, other European countries and Cyprus. Investment funds absorbed 51 percent of the bond issue, hedge funds 27 percent and banks 22 percent.
