Bollywood ex-couple Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor will once again share the screen space together in an upcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’. They immediately became talk of a town at the trailer launch of the movie when both the actors felt awkward in each other’s company. However, Shahid Kapoor has totally different take on this.
When Shahid was asked about the issue, he said, “Just tell me how is it decided that two people feel awkward. That we were looking at each other in a particular way? What you did find awkward?,”.
When pointed out that they maintained distance and didn’t click pictures together, Shahid added, “because if I and Kareena click pictures together then people will just write about it and keep talking about it only,” Indian media reported.
The movie ‘Udta Punjab’ has courted several controversies with its inappropriate portrayal of Bihari community. Actress Alia Bhatt will be seen as a Bihari migrant in the movie.
The movie is slated for June 17 release, but the film's issues with the censor board might push it ahead.
