Lahore: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre and L’atelier, Pakistan’s premier multi-brand store hosted Fitness Fiesta at Lakeside, Shaukat Khanum, Lahore on Sunday, 8th February 2015 to raise funds for Pakistan's second Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Peshawar.
A first-of-its-kind event titled ‘Fitness Fiesta in the Spirit of Giving’ offered a range of attractions for people from all age groups including L'atelier Fashion Lounge with 70% off on top designer collections, Farmers Market, Fitness Corner by Shapes with activities including Yoga, Aerobics, Zumba and Gym; Health Zone, Walkathon, Lifestyle Photography and Lucky Draws every hour for attendees amongst other.
Speaking on the occasion, the Management team of L’atelier, Ahsan, Sadaf, Sarah and Zahra Raza highlighted that, “L'atelier believes strongly in social responsibility and always gives a percentage of proceeds to charity. This year we decided to partner with Shaukat Khanum, one of the most recognized institutions in the country, to use our platform of fashion to support such a great cause. Our designers gifted over 150 amazing outfits all on 70% off for the L'atelier Fashion Lounge. We contend that that whilst it’s great to look good on the outside it's equally important to feel good on the inside".
"Therefore, we've brought together the perfect combination of fashion and fitness in this fun filled outing for your whole family. Shapes kindly agreed to offer Zumba and Yoga classes on the day and we especially sourced delicious yet healthy produce for the Farmers Market. We hope that people will continue to donate generously towards the cause,” they added.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the construction of Pakistan's second Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Peshawar.
