business 400KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and edible oil were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal during last 24 hours.

 

Meanwhile more ships scheduled to offload chemical and furnace oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same period, said a PQA press release on Monday.

 

Berth occupancy was 45% at the Port on Monday where total number of five ships namely Maersk Missouri, Ananya Naree, AMS Pegauses II, AL Soor-II and Dong Bu Promy are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, corn, cement, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

 

A cargo volume of 50146 tonnes comprising 39891 tonnes imports and 10255 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 787 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
