Taking responsibility of Pakistan latest 2-1 Test series defeat against New Zealand, captain Sarfraz Ahmed has said that the team should find another captain, if they are losing because of him.

"This Test series loss is not due to one person but it is the responsibility of the whole team, also mine as captain…. Whenever such things happen [losses], one does think like that [giving up captaincy],” said Sarfraz while talking to media.

"If Pakistan team is losing because of me then I will probably think that I should move away and someone who is better at captaincy of the Pakistan team should come in," added Sarfraz.

The skipper called for the top order batting line to score more runs, whereas, the tail-enders should also improve.

"If you look at the result overall, you will see that we lost this series by our own fault. We had many opportunities like you see in the first match and this match as well"

Talking about the upcoming away series against South Africa, beginning later in December, Sarfraz said that the team needs to be positive, calling the batting line to score more runs to have a chance against the Proteas.

"Obviously we have to be mentally strong when we play in South Africa. We will have to play with positive thoughts and that way we will get positive results [in SA]"
