OGE was MEIF4's first investment, which was followed by acquisitions of gas grids in the Czech Republic and Italy, European wind farms and broadcasting towers as well as hydro power plants and utilities.

This year could be best for equity raisings from Russia since 2007 given the global liquidity boost and the fact that Russia was overlooked and underinvested in the recent past.
On a price-to-earnings ratio, Russian stocks' discount to their emerging and developed market peers has widened this year from 2020 levels, returning to the historical average of around 50%.

Singapore-based Tay, currently on gardening leave, has been with JPMorgan for a decade and previously worked in the M&A team at UBS in New York and at other firms including Standard Chartered.
At Barclays, senior banker Sandeep Pahwa who is vice chairman and head of Asia Pacific client coverage, will become chairman, while handing over the Southeast Asia responsibilities to Tay, one of the sources said.
