The remarks were made after it has been revealed that billions of rupees have been embezzled from Pakistan Railways in the field of electricity, in a report, the Railway Minister Azam Swati presented to Prime Minister.
He was addressing the officers during his first visit to the Pakistan Railways (PR) Headquarters here. Swati said there were flaws in management, automation system and techniques in the department.
While assuming the charge of Ministry of Railways, Azam Swati said that converting the Pakistan Railways into modern transport was a big challenge, says a press release.
He said 252 big cases had reached their logical ends during the one year, adding he requested to the courts for speedy trials of the National Accountability Bureau and Anti Corruption cases.
