imageNAGPUR: South Africa were set a target of 310 runs to win the third Test in Nagpur after India were bowled out for 173 after tea on the second day on Thursday.

Shikhar Dhawan top-scored with 39 while leg-spinner Imran Tahir grabbed five wickets for 38 runs.

South Africa, replying to India's first innings total of 215, were earlier shot out for 79 in 33.1 on the dusty pitch at the VCA stadium.

South Africa need a win to level the four-match series after losing the first Test in Mohali by 108 runs. The rain-hit second game in Bangalore was drawn.
