KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, former ambassador and Senator Sherry Rehman and other PPP leaders almost missed the 9th death anniversary of Late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto when PIA boarded them on a flight for Multan instead of Sukkur on Tuesday morning.
The Senator took to micro-blogging site Twitter where she said:
Pakistan Peoples Party has finalized arrangements for the main function in this regard at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. A public meeting is scheduled to be addressed by the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former President and Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other central leadership of PPP at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto.
Thousands of PPP workers and supporters in caravans are arriving in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Naudero and Larkana from different parts of the country to pay their tributes to their leader. Sindh government has announced a public holiday on the day.
The 9th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is being observed with solemn remembrance and fond memories today.
