imageKARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has called for enhancing literacy rate in the province.

He was talking to Sindh Education Secretary, Dr. Fazalullah Pachehu, who called on him at the Governor House here on Thursday.

The Secretary apprised the Governor of the performance of the Education Department, academic reforms as well as the usage of technology.

Ebad was of the view that a faster growth can only be attained with academic system that is in accordance with the needs of the hour.

He said that we should pay full attention towards our academic system to get a place among the developed nations.

The Governor called for effective measures to help increase the literacy rate and stressed that all available resources should be utilized for the purpose.

He said that due attention should also be paid towards the primary and secondary level of education to lay the academic system on sound footings.

Ebad also appreciated the usage of modern technology at the education Department.
